1. Introduction

TrueFind ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that analyzes product reviews on e-commerce websites and provides a trustworthiness score. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension accesses, how it is used, and what we do not do with it.

By installing or using TrueFind, you agree to the terms described in this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Extension.

2. Data We Access

To function, TrueFind reads content from product pages you visit on supported webshops (such as Amazon, bol.com, AliExpress, Coolblue, Zalando, and MediaMarkt). Specifically, the Extension reads:

• Product page content (reviews, ratings, product titles) visible in your browser tab
• The URL of the active product page to identify which webshop you are visiting

This data is processed entirely within your local browser. It is never sent to any external server, stored in any database, or shared with any third party — including the developer of TrueFind.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

TrueFind does not collect, store, transmit, or process:

• Your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information
• Your browsing history or search queries
• Any financial or payment information
• Any data from pages that are not supported e-commerce product pages
• Analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics of any kind

4. Permissions Explained

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

• storage — Used solely to save your local preferences (e.g., whether the panel is open or closed). No personal data is stored.
• tabs — Used to detect when you navigate to a new product page so the Extension can re-analyze the content. No tab history is recorded.
• <all_urls> — Allows the Extension to activate on all websites, so it can recognize and analyze supported webshops regardless of which one you visit. The Extension only performs analysis on recognized product pages and ignores all other pages.

5. Third-Party Services

TrueFind does not integrate with any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or data brokers. No data is shared with external parties under any circumstances.

6. Children's Privacy

TrueFind is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
